The LIT Coordinator will assign your scheduled weeks based on our staffing needs as well as your demonstration of readiness for this additional responsibility.
The cost for an LIT Experience at Overnight camp is $399+HST and at Day Camp is $149+HST. This includes both the Training Week and the Placement Week.
The LIT Experience consists of two consecutive weeks. The first week is a Training Week that includes interactive training and hands-on experience shadowing a paid staff member. The second week is a Placement Week during which LITs are paired with a staff member for the full week and are responsible for leading a group of campers.
LIT interviews will be conducted by at least one member of the Hiring Team or the LIT Coordinator. Interviews will be approximately 20 minutes in length and will focus on the applicant’s childcare experience, leadership involvement, and spiritual growth. Forest Cliff seeks to create unforgettable, life-changing camp experiences that encourage young people to grow in relationship with Jesus Christ. We look for LITs who exemplify our 4 core values: Fun, Relationship Driven, Young-Person Focused, Christ-Centered. Have your summer availability ready to discuss.
LIT applicants are asked to find references who can accurately speak to either their work/volunteer experience or their character and skill. Good people to use as references are teachers, coaches, mentors, pastors/youth leaders, family friends, supervisors, etc. We ask that references be 18+ years old, have known the applicant for at least 6 months, and not be a family relative or current Forest Cliff Camps staff member.
